Introduction

Rajioon ("we", "us", "our") is an Islamic bereavement platform. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

What We Collect

Account Information

When you sign in via Auth0, we receive and store your name, email address, and a unique user identifier. You may also optionally provide a mobile number and address in your profile.

Janazah Information

If you register a janazah, we store the details you provide: the deceased's name, gender, age, biographical information, janazah and burial locations (including geographic coordinates), date and time, and visibility preferences. This data is shared publicly if you mark the janazah as public, so the community can find and attend it.

Afterlife Preparation

If you use the "Get Afterlife Ready" feature, we store your checklist progress and any notification contacts you add (name, phone, email, relationship). This data is private and visible only to you.

Attendance

If you mark your attendance at a janazah, we record a link between your user ID and that janazah. Your name or identity is not shown publicly — only the total attendance count is displayed.

Local Storage

We store your preferences(theme, language, font, sidebar state) in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers. If you start registering a janazah without completing it, the form draft is also saved locally until you submit or clear it.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie managed by Auth0 to keep you signed in. This cookie is encrypted and contains your session token. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookie-based analytics.

Third-Party Services

• Auth0 — Handles authentication. Auth0 receives your email and password during sign-in. See Auth0's Privacy Policy.
• Google Maps Platform — Used to display maps, search for nearby mosques and cemeteries, and geocode locations. Google may collect usage data according to their policies. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• postcodes.io — Used to convert UK postcodes to geographic coordinates. Only the postcode you enter is sent; no personal data.
• OpenAI— If you use the "extract from message" feature when registering a janazah, the text you paste is sent to OpenAI's API for processing. No personal data beyond the message content is shared. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.

What We Do NOT Do

• We do not sell your data to anyone.
• We do not use any analytics or tracking scripts.
• We do not serve advertisements.
• We do not share your personal data with third parties beyond the services listed above.
• We have disabled browser interest-based advertising features (FLoC / Topics API).

Data Retention

Your account and associated data are retained for as long as your account is active. If you wish to have your data deleted, please contact us at feedback@rajioon.com.

Security

We implement security headers including Content Security Policy (CSP), HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), and X-Content-Type-Options. Authentication tokens are encrypted. Database connections use secure protocols. However, no system is perfectly secure — if you discover a vulnerability, please report it to feedback@rajioon.com.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can update your profile information at any time through the app. For data deletion or any privacy-related requests, contact us at feedback@rajioon.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Rajioon after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
