About Rajioon

When someone we love returns to Allah, the world doesn't pause. But it should feel like it does.

Rajioon was built to be that moment of calm in the storm.

Why Rajioon Exists

When someone passes away, families are often overwhelmed. You're grieving, and at the same time you're expected to navigate register offices, burial arrangements, washing, shrouding, and janazah times, often for the first time.

The information you need is scattered. A PDF here, a WhatsApp message there, a phone call to someone who might know. If you'd called the register office an hour earlier, the janazah could've been tomorrow instead of next week. If a will had been written, the estate would've been sorted according to the Shari'ah.

Rajioon was built so that when the time comes, you have somewhere to turn. One place with clear, calm guidance, from the first hours after someone passes, all the way through to burial and beyond.

Forty People

No Muslim dies and forty people who do not associate anything with Allah pray over him, but Allah will accept their intercession for him.

Sahih Muslim, 948

A janazah happens at the mosque down the road. You might live two minutes away, but you never hear about it because you're not in the right WhatsApp group, or you're not close to the family. If you'd known, you would have gone.

That's why Rajioon shows attendance and makes janazahs easy to find. So they don't go unnoticed, and so the community can show up when it matters most.

The Journey

Rajioon started in 2022 as a personal project and a simple janazah finder. Over time, the scope grew into emergency checklists, prayer guides for all four madhabs, du'aas, Islamic will resources, and afterlife preparation. Everything in one place, in your own language.

Doctors save lives every day, Alhamdulillah. This project started from a desire to use whatever skills Allah has given me to benefit the Ummah in my own way. It's been rebuilt many times, and each Ramadan brought a new wave of energy. This is just the start, in sha Allah.

I encourage everyone, regardless of what field you're in or what you do, to try and use whatever gifts and talents you've been given to benefit the Ummah in some way, some shape, some form. Leave behind something you're confident Allah will be pleased with.

The Name

Rajioon comes from the words we are encouraged to say whenever a calamity befalls us, whether it is the loss of a loved one or any hardship in life:

إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.

Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:156

رَاجِعُونَ (raji'oon) means "those who return." This life is temporary. Rajioon is here to help you remember that, prepare for it, and face it with clarity.

The Bigger Picture

Too many of us live near a mosque but aren't connected to it. Janazahs happen, announcements go out, and people miss them because the information never reached them.

Rajioon is a step toward changing that. Making janazahs discoverable, making preparation easier, and bringing communities closer together. It's the first project of many, in sha Allah.

The intention is for Rajioon to remain free and donation-powered. We welcome feedback, ideas, and suggestions from anyone who wants to help make this better.

Every feature exists because the community needs it. No hidden agendas.

Clarity When It Matters

When someone is grieving, confusion is the last thing they need. Every page is designed to be calm, clear, and actionable.

Free for Everyone

Rajioon is free, multilingual, and works on any device. No one should be locked out of preparing for the hereafter.

Respecting Our Differences

Hanafi, Shafi'i, Hanbali, Maliki. Rajioon accommodates your practice, never dismisses it.

Always Improving

New features are always on the way, shaped by what the community needs most.

What's Coming Next

Rajioon is in active development. There's a lot more planned, in sha Allah:

  • An interactive Islamic will builder
  • Automated notifications to your loved ones when the time comes
  • Video messages for your family, delivered after you're gone
  • Sadaqah jariyah pages in the name of the deceased
  • A mosque admin portal for managing listings and janazah schedules
  • Expanded coverage beyond the UK, including mosques, cemeteries, and offices worldwide
  • Community-driven verification of janazah listings
  • Push notifications for janazahs near you
  • A mobile app for iOS and Android

If Rajioon benefits you in any way, please remember those who built it in your du'a.

May Allah accept this effort and make it a source of benefit for the Ummah. May He forgive all those who have returned to Him and grant them the highest ranks in Jannatul Firdous.

Allahumma Ameen.
